Researcher profile:

Short Bio:

She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the Universidad de Valladolid and a Master's degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in Condensed Matter Physics, Nanoscience and Biophysics. She completed her PhD from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid within the Doctoral Program of Condensed Matter Physics, Nanoscience and Biophysics in 2021. She developed her doctoral thesis in the Biomedical Magnetic Resonance Laboratory of the ‘Alberto Sols’ CSIC-UAM Biomedical Research Institute, under the supervision of Pilar López-Larrubia. She developed her doctoral thesis in the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques, especially through the use of diffusion MRI methodologies, for the study of brain regulation of global energy metabolism in different pathologies. Her scientific career includes two predoctoral stays at the Laboratory for Functional and Metabolic Imaging (LIFMET, Switzerland). The main objective of her work is the design of a complete analysis protocol focused on diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) that allows the efficient study of the brain on standard medical scanners.
